I was a bit iffy about this combo. Excuse the iPhone camera pictures - the shoes are the Leffot Alden navy suede longwings.

this is a safe rule, but damn boring. i think the problem with the combo is you have too many solids. combo would look great with say a blue/cream argyle or a blue/dark blue polka dot, etc
