Don't take drastic measures...
I'm getting there just by strength training, followed by 15-20 minutes of cardio, three times a week while eating a healthy and balanced diet (which I believe is the greatest piece of the puzzle).
By following what I mentioned above, I've lost 60+ pounds in the last year, gained a great deal of muscle mass, and went from a XL shirt and 42 pants to a M shirt and 34 pants.
Don't get discouraged bro, you will get there. Just keep your chin up
