On the morning of the first day of the examination, I had a cup of coffee with a few shots of amaretto liqueur. That took the stress away, although I would not recommend this to anyone taking the examination. I would, however, advise that as little as possible studying be done a night before.

Does any state other than CA have "performance test" questions? (3 hour single question where they make you do a "realistic" task like write a memo or a brief or an opening statement or some other random document)

I'm ok on everything but those...

I woke up feeling tense around the shoulders this morning. #$@#!$&$

Hopefully this will be gone by Monday. Good luck to you all. You know more than you think you know. And if you don't, bullshit your way through with what you do know.

On Friday, I will be a wasted man.

I think most jurisdictions have at least one -- NY did.

You will never feel so relieved and free in your life again as you will the morning after the test.

Well, I just took a third of a MBE practice test and got 73% right. Good, bad?

We'll say it's good, cause thats about where I'm at.

I don't think it's a single 180 minute question. It's likely two 90 minute questions.

There is nothing to be "ok with" on the MPT. Just follow the question. I never practiced for that portion of the exam. I didn't see the point.

BarBri MBE or someone else's? Either way, it's plenty good to pass.

SF keeps me at my computer, which keeps me studying. I've never been able to study in seclusion. If not SF, I'd have a movie on in the background.

BarBri. The real obstacle is the essay section. There, I'm fucked.

73% is good. Which one was it? 33 questions from one of the half-day problem sets? Those ones seemed a lot harder than the subject-specific ones.

Eh. I did the largest part of my studying in the final week after dicking around for the first two months. Everybody's style is different.

With 73% you are far from screwed. I think you're fine even at around 2/3. My only advise for true last-minute cramming is to just stop at a certain point the night before the first test. No peaking at outlines in the morning while waiting to go inside. No studying the night after the first day. At that point, you truly either know it or not. Real last minute cramming only flusters you, and half the test is just having the nerves. Everyone thinks they failed when it's over. The pass rates tell a different story (Except if you're in California. Sorry, you guys are fucked. Not even really. It's just the multiple time takers, the non-accredited school kids, and the deans from Stanford Law taking down that pass rate). You'll be fine.

BarBri questions don't hide the ball quite as much as actual MBE questions, in my experience. But, scoring a 148 raw on a BarBri MBE should put in a good spot.

I don't know about NY, but in IN and OH I just answered the essay question. No more, no less.
