Need A New Clay/Wax to use? - Page 4

I picked up a small tin of the American Crew fiber this morning. Not terribly impressed for the price. I have pretty fine hair and a widow's peak, so as you can imagine, there's lots of frustration associated with getting my hair presentable on a day-to-day basis.

I ran the stuff (maybe a nickel-sized drop) through dry hair and though it held nicely in a slightly elevated bed head style at first, it didn't take long for it to fall completely flat. I also had some issues with the stuff clumping. I took a peek in the mirror a few minutes ago and saw flaking you'd usually get with gel.

I'd heard some glowing things about the product, so I didn't mind forking over the cash to get it. But after my first run, I'm really not impressed. Is all of this common or did I do something wrong?

Anyone use Rusk Being Primitive clay? or redken for men work hard power paste? I love these two. Try 'em. Superior moldability and they both rinse out rather easily and leave hair feeling nice and soft after, too!

Yeah, it takes two or three washings per shower, but I like it better than anything I've tried.

It's a product found in Australia. I'm not sure if this can be found elsewhere, so can't comment on availability.

I have hard to manage hair and have tried many products. in my experience only Rockstar Solid Rock does the trick. Super Hard hold and not shine. What more could you want.

Gatsby has not worked for me, but I'm keen to try Aveda and Kiehls.

Find a salon in your town that sells Kevin Murphy. Go ask them what the best product is for your hair. The stuff is incredible
