Art Question: Menashe Kadishman

Anyone have an opinion on this stuff? http://nadav.harel.org.il/Menashe_Kadishman/ I am sure there are more links. I don't profess to "get" art, so if anyone cares to tell me what I am looking at and why I should bother, I would appreciate it. I am already pretty familiar with looking at the stuff, but I want someone to explain it to me.

I hear he is now into horses. I like the top row, second from the right, but included the thumbnail page because you need it to see the scope of his obsessiveness:

I like the more minimalist sculptures, not sure about the paintings to be frank but there's some pretty discerning people who enjoy them, whatever it's worth. I guess the key to understand him is to consider he has the same approach as those photographers who do animal portrait and treat their subjects like humans.
