I actually kinda liked "The Truth about Charlie" even though it was a travesty of the original.

Coyote Ugly wasn't a great movie, but had lots of talent... if you know what i'm saying.

Well, why not just rent a playboy video, then?

I gotta admit, I sorta of liked it too (Thandie Newton was probably a large portion of that)

Piper Perabo and Bridget Moynihan are a couple of my favorite actresses, and the others aren't too bad either, including that Czech girl, the concept was kinda neat too. I didn't think it was a captivating movie but it was interesting nonetheless. John Goodman was amusing, but he usually is.

The recent remake of Rollerball. In fact virtually any remake (or reimagining) although a notable exception is John Carpenter's The Thing, one of my all time favourites. How did I forget Pearl Harbour, a good call.

Holy God, how did I forget this one. Don't blame me, my friends insisted on watching this peice of crap, and I haven't forgiven them since. Eric

Criterion actually released a 2-disc collection?.? WTF? This is the company that released Rashomon and Stan Brakage shorts. That girl is actually Polish. I gotta give props to my country of ancestry, especially for putting out such a hottie. It was an alright movie, not the worst I've seen. I've seen tons of bad movies, but a lot of them don't fall under the guidelines for this. I'll try to think of some that do though. p.s. Lost In Translation was certainly not the worst movie I ever saw, but it wasn't what I was expecting, after hearing all my friends and co-horts raving about it. I didn't need to see 5 musical interludes of Scarlett Johanson walking around Tokyo with that alienated look on her face. Yes, she feels alone, we got that in the first 20 minutes of the movie. I did like the end, when Bill chased after her, and what he wispered in her ear will go down as a great mystery of cinema. Plus, every movie should start with a close up of a nice woman's ass in panties. Maybe I should watch it again,and maybe like it more.

I liked independence day too... IMHO that type of movie needs to be watched in context, you know it's not going to have great acting or wonderful lines, it's just a cinematic thrill ride with cool visual effects that is fun to watch.

I like thrill rides too (hell, I liked Starship Troopers), but both Armageddon and ID were far too brainless to even enjoy on that level (because they TRIED to be more than just a stupid thrill ride in both cases) for me.  Here's another ruthless classic: http://ruthlessreviews.com/movies/t/titanic.html ouch

I liked Armageddon a LOT more than Independence Day. The mentally unstable, veteran cropduster pilot drove me nuts.

I watched Lost in Translation, or 3/4 of it when one of my roomates rented it.  I considered finishing it before it was due back at Blockbuster, but didn't feel like wasting the time.  Perhaps I'll check it out again sometime and watch it to the end.   And I'll second Solaris, what a waste of time. Again, with Gladiator, I didn't find it entirely terrible, but I consider Conan a better movie.  What makes me dislike Gladiator so much is that I have a few idiot friends that rank it alongside Braveheart   so really its thanks to my friends that I have such a bad taste in mouth from it. The last movie I can remember really hating was The New Guy with Eddie Griffin and Eliza Dushku (sp?).  Now that was a terrible movie. Also let me add Seven Years in Tibet, and the new Italian Job.
