Hong Kong restaurant recommendations?

Halp! Looking for something special as I will just be there for one night on transit to India.

The parameters:
Two adults and one child.
Cuisine: traditional or contemporary Hong Kong dishes.
Price: moderate to high...
Atmosphere: Noisy, crowded but comfortable.
Hotel near Causeway Bay (but don't mind to wander away from that area).

Anything come to mind?

The Chinese restaurant at The Excelsior Hotel's 2nd floor comes to mind.

The most innocuous options are in hotels. On the HK side, Lung King Heen in the Four Seasons and One Harbor Road in the Grand Hyatt are good. Other options are Lei Garden (the IFC one is probably the nicest) or Fu Sing in Wanchai (quite traditional - do try their special steamed crab in rice wine). The latter is a favourite of mine as great value. Also, Fook Lam Moon is famous for its wildly expensive shark's fin and abalone, but normal dishes are not egregiously priced. There is a famous place in Causeway Bay called Forum that specialises in abalone. There are some places in Kowloon but there isn't much reason for you to head over.

I can never remember the names of places (I go to HK to see the fam and Mom knows all the joints I like).

But I am jeaaaaaaaaaaaalous. Eat lots of salt and pepper squid

Eat along the Causeway bay area, try anything on the streets!

+1 yung kee. Get the roast goose and tip your waiter between 20-50 hk and ask him if he has any of the limited items that day available. Usually the limited items are absolutely amazing.

If you choose Yung Kee, try asking your hotel concierge if he can get you into Yung's Club.

@ IFC there is also a dessert restaurant you could go to after dinner w/ the child, if he loves desserts. (Although most of the stuff they make is just taken out of the freezer it is good fun.)

Just don't go their first, without the woman/child or they'll be mad when you can't eat dinner with them because you ate desserts.

I just updated the original thread. The plan seems to be coming together nicely. Now, I just hope the weather agrees with us!

Honeymoon is so good. Watermelon sago, simple yet amazing.

Hutong was amazing. It's at 1 Peking Road in TST (Kowloon). Twenty eight floors up, spectacular view of the harbor, amazing modern Northern Chinese. Not sure if that fits the bill for HK/Cantonese but still...
