I found this forum after searching for for information on Allen Edmond shoes but I just HAVE to comment on this thread....It doesn't seem like you people know much about Amway and the wealth it generates. The company generated over $6,400,000,000 in sales in 2005!!!!!! HEre are the facts: 1. There is a BIG difference between a multi-level marketing business oppourtunity and a pyramid scheme! As an Amway Business Owner, I sell real products to real people. I have over 450 different products for sale! Pyramid schemes are illegal scams in which participants invest a large amount of money in exchange for the promise of receiving profits by recruiting additional participants to make a similar investment. We don't operate likethat. YOu need to educate yourselves before bashing the opportunities that Amway offers!!!! 2. Amway Business Owners get rewards for sales, not recruiting people. 3. Amway sells useful products MADE IN THE USA! ( ). The organization has over 1000 patents! This guy approached me wit ha job offer. He said that he wanted employees to take a look at this business plan he was into. Sounded interesting. I get there, and it's this big creepy meeting thing. I asked the guy who had brought me in if this was AMWAY, he's like "oh, no no. It's not AMWAY." Anyway, after the creepy "YAY! ONE DAY WE WILL BE ABLE TO BUY A FERRARI!" crap, they tried to sell it to me. I didn't bite, and got the guy so pissed off that he tried the "I don't want to employ anyone who doesn't want to be in on this deal" line. I turned him down. I knew I wasn't getting a job out of him. A little digging on the internet uncovered that it was in fact AMWAY with a different name. ... Oh good, someone from 'the company' has come to tell us the error of our ways. So I can earn the big bucks, without recruiting one single person? Says who? All that tells me is you have poor taste in cars. --- To the OP: Surely you can go do something else with your time! Even if you don't have non crazy AMWAY loving friends to spend time with, surely, having had a Butler, you have enough money to buy a little sports car and drive down the coast in it. Mmm... speaking of which I might do that this weekend.

I know that the "Amway" company only just reverted back to it's original name - and was/is in some circles still referred to as "Quixtar" - a carefully doctored and equally corrupt pyramid scheme corporation.

Of course, nobody makes money in that organization unless you sell "motivational tapes and books."

If you know anyone involved in it - stay clear of them if they try to seduce you into becoming an "IBO".

In other words, it's a cult and absolutely nothing more.

You will earn money based on your pv (point value) and bv (business volume). If you are a talented salesperson you can earn impressive amounts of money without recruiting. HOwever, the faster way to the top is to recruit other individuals to sell AMWAY goods because you receive a rebate from their sales as well. (YOU DO NOT GET MONEY FOR RECRUITING PEOPLE. YOU GET MONEY WHEN PEOPLE YOU HAVE RECRUITED SELL PRODUCTS.)

I sometimes forget that outsiders are not as fimiliar with how the Alticor families are structured. The two names are synomomous with each other.

AMWAY Business Owners are trained to be straightforward when detailing the business opportunities that AMWAY offers so I feel it is 100% more likely you were targeted by an illegal pyramid scheme.

That is very kind of you. I was wanting to know if they make any shoes out of crocodile. I hear their leather is quite expensive so I would like a pair for my next AMWAY meeting.

As if it really matters, I would presume many, many members of this SF forum drive absolutely gorgeous cars, depending on the tastes. Most are articulate, very well educated and I find, quite worldly when it comes to business schemes.


A number of us are extremely successful by legitimate means, without predatory business practices on our friends and associates. Based on the number of members on this particular forum, I would imagine there are many of us here, who are downright filthy rich.
It may be best for you to peruse and establish a blog membership somewhere else if you are trying to obtain new customers for your business venture.

I regret to inform you that, this location is more of a gentleman's forum.

You wouldn't be afraid they would just think they were "embossed/stamped" based on the crowd demographics?
