Bday party ideas in Manhattan

Hey all,

I've been in Manhattan for years now, but I can't think of a good spot for my 24th birthday party. I'd be happy with some ideas from all of you. I'm just drawing a blank when thinking of the right spot.

Some background: I'm looking for a non-crowded space that is still a fun / decent atmosphere. Difficult door policies or long lines are a complete no-no for this event. I plan on inviting 20-35 people, so I can't go somewhere that requires a bottle for every 4 people, and certainly I wouldn't want a vibe like that anyway. I was thinking something like The Park but the line gets long eventually, although the door is lax. It doesn't have to be as fancy as that either.

In other words, somewhere not too packed, not too annoying (lines and door policy), but still a good time. Location should be in Manhattan. I had my last year's bday party at Maru in K-Town and it fit this description perfectly, but I don't want to do that two years in a row. Thanks for any advice.
