Ain't nothing wrong with Gravati: As far as the pictures of the more exotic brands that have been posted here, it helps if you live or visit such centers of the shopping universe as New York, London, or Paris. That, or the willingness to spend large sums of money to buy shoes that you've never tried on...

They're Lattanzis, as FCS has posted. If you wait a while, discostu will probably relist them on eBay.

The Gravati split-toe bluchers I have are made on the 500 last. I got them in a size 8M and am surprise at how snugly they fit, yet at the same time feel so good. I've not had a shoe fit me that good. Can some of you Gravti owners comment on the 640 last and if you would recommend the same size as I wear in the 500 last? I'm so tempted to purchase a pair of monk straps I saw in 8.5M, but don't know if I would wear the same size in the 640 vs the 500.

JohnMS - unfortunately, the 640 fits slightly larger than the 500. Most of the Gravati I have are detailed on the 500 last but I added a Bicycle Toe on the 640 and it definitely fits more full.

As Rider wrote, 640 has a bit more room in the toe and at the ball of the foot than 500. I wear a 10M in both lasts. The shoes that I posted pictures of are made on the 655 last, which is very similar to the 500, only with a more elongated toe. If you're looking for a round-toe last, I've seen the 486, which I'm told fits similarly to the 500; and the 433, which from its description seems to be closer in fit to the 640. And if you're looking for a really long snout, try the 669. There are several other lasts that Gravati uses, but I don't know enough about them to comment.

They are indeed from Harold's in the Heights. They're special orders, so I finalized the details with Jim rather than Johnny since Jim is the one who communicates with the Gravati factory. But they're both great guys.
