BTW - You hand smoochers are just asking for trouble. Never mind the implications of being a stodgy anachronism in young man's skin - you're also bound to run into one of those charming, bewitching women who smiles as she remembers that she forgot to wash her hands after visiting the ladies' room.

As someone who actually does this, you might be interested that you don't actually kiss the lady's hand, physically. It is gotten around by one of several devices. Of course there are half a dozen variants in which there is contact, and I've probably done most of them at one time or another, but usually that would be with people who wouldn't laugh. ~ Huntsman
