Looks great @gomestar! How far around does it wrap?

I had this done yesterday, which made me hate my life. Had to tap out after 4 and a bit hours which is annoying but couldn't handle any more. Should be about 45 mins left to finish the body and tail feathers.

all the way around. First session got to me for some reason and I tapped out after 3. The others were cake (found out that gulping 2 shots before hand actually makes it easy). Artist wanted to see how the whites healed before doing more.

Ribs are no joke. Kudos for 4 hours.

Nice, dont know why but arm tattoos that don't wrap round always look slightly unfinished to me. Obviously depends on the design though.

I think the worst part was the waist line, more than the actual ribs. Particularly where you start hitting the edge of the ribs or hip. I may have to be smart and cut sessions down to ~2 hours when I get the other side done.

I've realized that 2-3 hour blocks are the way to go. Sure, there's something to be said for just sitting through it all at once, but that effectively knocks you out for the day. Shorter sessions you're in then out (quick stop in the evening after work for example) and can get on with the rest of the day. My lower arm has been in the 2-3 hour session format, first was a tap out, second was shorter due to an NHL playoff game schedule, and third was because she wanted to see how the lighter colors healed before doing more. Next appt is in 3 weeks.

wife is getting a big piece on her arm from this person in August:

Story: My brother says I would never get a tattoo. I go into the next tattoo Parlor, meeting Rick Walters, and I tell him to put a tiger walking down the entire right side of my back. My brother laughs it off, but then I got it. The look on his face made it worth it. Why do I have it? For the brotherly moments. 3 years later and I'm still happy I got it.

I usually try to make it a point to get tattooed by interesting people when I travel.. Picked this up when I was in Florence in March. Sorry for the angry freshness of this one, but it was taken by the tattooer when we were finished..
