So I am 6"8, around 225lbs with a 7-foot wingspan..I am a former college basketball player so back then this height and wingspan helped.. now in my mid-40s, not so much lol..the first leather jacket is from a company called Straight to Hell.. they make a decent leather jacket with full grain buffalo leather. The accessories are decent, and the finish in terms of stitching and seams is not bad.. more importantly, they had a tall size that benefitted me greatly..the second is a custom RRL that was custom for an NBA player who passed on it.. picked up on a really good deal in NY 8 years ago..the third is a Schott that I have had for 18 years and saw me through many winter storms back in my old hood in Bmore and the last is a suede piece from The Kooples (I had it tailored at the sides a smidge)..
The wear on the schott looks amazing, and the stories over 18 yrs of wearing it is what leather jackets are all about.
The custom rrl is dope. Happen to know which nba player?

They would not tell me..just that he was on the roster for the Knicks at the time and he was roughly around my dimensions (even though I had longer arms).. The Schott has been through snow storms, sleigh rides, and a lot of exposure to the elements.. funny enough I was more into urban wear when my sister purchased this for me.. I had a favorite Avirex jacket that I had been wearing prior since the 90s and did not want to make that switch.. but when I did, there was no looking back..funny enough in my single years, I remember being at a gentleman club and one of the dancers tried to sway me into giving her the jacket.. I was like hell naaaaaaaaa lol

The Schott surprises me. I wear a medium in Schott, and the sleeves fit between just right and just a tiny bit short on me (in a roughout and a Horween horsehide jacket of the same double rider model, respectively. And I just have a 73" wingspan.
I had the tailor put in longer ribbed cuffs at the sleeves, replacing the older ones.. and this was a 58/48.. I'm usually a 42..It helped with the length a tad..but it was so large all over.. One of the tailoring teams I go here in CA, owned a kit that could tailor tough leather and they were able to slim it down.. so I lucked out that way I guess..
