Which Vanson you ditching? I'm a big Vanson fan (have 3 myself) but I can understand the allure of that Lewis!

You'd probably have to do the latter for it unless you're very wealthy; it's 600,000 yen in japan, which I think is my closest retail point for that piece, and which also happens to be like $6500-7000 nowadays. I know it's cheaper out in different parts of the world, but not much....

My Vanzon AZ, it's the long cafe jacket with handwarmer pockets and a zip-in fleece liner. It's super heavy (full competition weight) and the chest has always been a bit too big. In pretty good shape though, the only damage/character mark is a small exhaust burn on the upper arm from when I was working on the BMW.

yeah the length was quoted at 24.5 i believe. right at the waist for a mid rise pant or jean for me, but most of my pants or jeans are slightly low rise. therefore would show about an inch of shirting for me. i dont know if i would like that kind of lack of versatility.

the sweater is awesome too. the pants are really nice too. this last gilt sale on jil sander was a hit

Too late, I got it.

also they will consign my Vanson and they are pretty sure they can get full retail for it (actually $30 more than I paid), which amazed me. Of course I'll only get 50% of that if I do it but I doubt I could get more selling it on my own.

gawkrodger posted this Nudies bomber leather a couple of pages back. Has anyone seen anything similar to this or know where to buy this one? I want to see what other brands I'm open up to

Thanks

I have pretty much the same jacket as teh above, but not a knit collar, just leather. It is by Banana Republic. It is a very nice jacket, but it is hard to pull off black leather, for me, as I feel to guido no matter how I wear it.

It's good for someone that rides, which is why I asked about it.

I have been buying leathers for years- these are some of
the ones I have at home- I have more in storage ...

1955 Irvin Foster car cost- was originally my fathers
1960's Schott cafe Racer in light brown
1960's Chicago Police jacket
1977 Schott Perfecto- bought new by me on Orchard Street NYC
1979 Vanson Highwayman in white- bought at Trash/Vaudeville on St. Marks place in '79
1970's NYC Horsehide Police jacket- bought on St. Marks in 1980
1983 Schott JD-1 Special edition Horsehide with James Dean Label- I bought the belt/collar too
1991 Schott Perfecto
2001 Vanson Hard Core Highwayman
2003 Schott Perfecto- Brass Hardware
2004 Schott New York black Buffalo
2006 Brown cowhide MC Legendary USA
2007 Aero Long half belt brown Horsehide
2009 Aero 'King Of The Road' Horsehide ( being made )
2009 Aero 'B-3' Modified/Hand Warmer Pockets
2009 Aero Paloming Grizzley ( just ordered )

I have been to the "Lost Worlds" store, and the stuff is nice, but super expensive.
And, IMHO, not nearly as nice as the Aero. I absolutely love Aero- I want to order
another one this year. Off the rack, I prefer Vanson over Schott, but the Vansons
are more money. All in all, Aero is the way to go for me.

Aero"King of the Road" - Ordered in September, should have it this week

Aero 'B-3' Modified/Hand Warmer Pockets - Ordered late September, should be here by Xmas

Aero Paloming Grizzley- My ultimate jacket- should be to me by February....

Aero Long Half Belt in horsehide, Alpaca lined- My favorite as of today ....

Yeah, I love the bomber look. If only this one had shorter arms...
