Leather Jackets: Post Pictures of the Best You've Seen/Owned? - Page 643

I don't think I'd buy that personally because of the flapped pockets, but it looks really nice. Price under 1K doesn't hurt either.

If it is for sale through Hypebeast as of 7 hours ago, does that mean it's ss14 stock? Is anybody else selling it?

I like this jacket, but that photo is of the wool version not the leather.

edit: pretty sure that hypebeast only posted that to try to sell it on their store: http://store.hypebeast.com/brands/patrik-ervell/navyblack-aviator-jacket

you can find it for way cheaper on the ervell website: http://patrikervell.com/product/detail/pass/1222

Also, looks like they marked it $63 up from retail.

New grail - ccp fencing in horse. I wonder how it looks unzipped?

how can it be your grail when you don't even know what it looks like open

a relatively thin frame is good but most important imho is broad shoulders and a long~ish torso

I think i might oil the leather to make it more buttery and add some shine. I'm guessing Obenaufs would do the trick?
Swapping the lining on a jacket is pretty easy, the harder part is the construction of the new lining itself, I've done it a couple times, ideally you'd want to take existing lining out first, then replicate the panels with the new material before sewing the new lining back in, trick is to get it done for a decent price, and for oiling leather I mainly use mink oil

well my point was that brad was saying "how could it be your grail if you dont even know what it looks like open" which was a dumb thing to say.

Guys, brad is actually completely right on this one, i think some of you interpreted his wording as harsh but its not dumb. How can one call a jacket a "Grail" piece if they are unsure of how it looks like open. A grail piece in my mind is something i would know looks great open, closed, worn, unworn, etc.

unzipped: Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
pretty much, "grail" is a heavy word and i would hope one would base it on more than just that
post #9641 of 11623

It's just a word and that (or any) jacket is just 'clothes'. No need to be such a nitpicker.

Just as an aside, are there any ccp jackets that don't have those odd, hip-emphasizing pocket flaps?

I think he just means the 3d pockets themselves, right?. they only stick out if they're open.

/\ Not on the high-neck.
