Leather Jackets: Post Pictures of the Best You've Seen/Owned? - Page 608

Personal preference, though a lot of people on here tend to like slightly longer sleeves than what is seen in for example GQ (or other popular "mainstream fashion" sources)

They might be just a hair long, but since this is the real world and not TOJ where you can force Charly to submit to your whims of reducing any measurement by a quarter of an inch, they're perfectly fine, especially since the rest of the jacket fits absolutely perfectly.

Better long sleeves than too short.

I think it just might be his stance but shoulders look off, and I think thats causing the drape to have a rather stiff appearance.

Any pics with it zipped up?

When worn over time the wrinkling that occurs at elbows causes the sleeves to slide up a bit, so just right sleeve length out of the box is probably not a good idea for the long run.

Slightly long sleeves is pretty standard for any moto (or moto-ish) jacket, it's an accommodation for the motorcycle riding position (in which the sleeves of the jacket will naturally ride up a bit).

So then the sleeves on all the models on the other pics are too short and not the way they should be worn?

All Noctone seems to be saying is that slightly longer sleeves to accommodate riding is not uncommon, not that longer sleeves on all leather jackets are the universal norm.

certainly for riding I can see why longer sleeves might be neeeded. That looks more than slightly though imo.

Long sleeves and wide shoulders is part of the Margiela "look"

I prefer the slouchier fit of the Margiela more than a super tight, perfect fit.

Incarnation, which is sized pretty much perfectly in all regards vs. Margiela, with wide shoulders and long arms

NN fit is spot on, shoulders are meant to have a slouchy appearance; pretty sure i'm bigger around that area than he is and mine fall off a little too. it's the way the jackets are cut.
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

I know they are suppose to look slouchy but his looks stiff and tight in the shoulders. Your fit looks really good.
