Who do you think is paying Rick's bills? RO leathers are essentially Nordstrom fare at this point. They even got a full page NYT style section feature a while back. It's the leather jacket of choice for MILFy chicks all over the more expensive suburbs. Not a joke.

When it's on Mr. Porter/net-a-porter... nothing wrong with it, just the natural progression of a company.

a-******* men, no more lame than the guys here who graduate from deisel or j crew to ro

so many people in this thread are ******* marsupialed. when you're buying RO at full retail, then you can complain about the sanctity of the brand.

no one was even bringing up the sanctity of anything..peeps were mentioning how ugly that ***** is, not to mention..her outfit.

However, I just bought a cardigan for full retail, but I'll just tell you to go back in your cave instead though...

are you dense? the entire implication is that this random suburban housewife either doesn't deserve to wear rick or is somehow disgracing the brand. as la guy pointed out, if it wasn't for people like her paying full retail, you wouldn't be able to buy **** for 75% off at sale time. it's the same pretentious SZ bullshit about celebrities wearing artisan brands - who gives a ****? rick owens is happy to take their money, and your pretentious, absurd standards aren't paying his bills, this 40+ year mom is.

you are arguing with yourself, the only thing that bothered me is how ugly and mannequin like her face looks. Its quite frightening....

I don't care about who buys the brand..ive already seen the types of people that walk into these expensive boutiques.

That woman looks ridiculous but doesn't have anything to do with her age. If she were

(1) MILF and
(2) styled the jacket right, meaning no momwash jeans or mom hair, and
(3) were not standing in the middle of a room filled with KMart/Martha Stewart collection garbage (this is actually the most repellant part of the pic, I can't be in a room like that ever).

...then she might stand a chance. So basically if everything about the pic were different but the jacket, then win.:slayer:

okay I am being a goof but seriously I don't see why someone who is 50 cannot wear Rick and look good in it -- Rick does -- they just have to style it properly, as with anything.

I don't even think the jacket looks that bad on her, I mean, it's a black leather jacket with ribbed inserts, not too hard to pull off
Sure the mom jeans (true religion? maybe?) kinda kill it and the room is atrocious, but I've seen worse shopping at Nordstroms.
