I have a jacket just like this one, only it fits me properly...... picket it up for 15 bucks... its $1,100, but you can pick it up at barneys on summer sale for $659. I Highly recomend it...

I'm 5'6 foot tall and have 41 inch chest and 29 inch waist. Will M in rick owens leather jackets fit me? If not, what brands? (please, don't say TOJ).

Probably not. I got a "M" in RO. Just fits right, 38-39" chest, 31 waist. Your biggest problem would be sleeve length.

djt00: Rick's not really cut out for your body type (i.e. shorter/stockier side). Generally speaking, there's a generous taper from chest to waist (we're talking 2.5-3" laid flat) on RO leathers but all the same, the chest still pulls for me and my drop isn't as large as yours (around 10" for me). You could probably size up to accommodate your chest, but you'll see other problems. I've found that the shoulders are cut narrow relative to the chest, so if you have broad shoulders from lifting, it won't work. Another problem you'll encounter from sizing up is the length, since Rick jackets are cut longer (especially in the sleeves). Sleeve width may also be restraining. If I were you, I'd steer clear of RO.

If you really want to give it a shot and you're looking at more recent seasons, you'll need at least a L (maybe XL).

edit: GBear beat me to it

Yeah, won't give it a try then. My arms aren't very long either. Although, I can fit in a medium tees and tops. p2p needs to be is kind of big, because I've been doing chin-ups and working out past 10 years. Even when I was very skinny I had a 36-37" inch chest.
