I'd say the answer is generally yes, they're cheaper in Japan. Every store I've seen that carries those brands outside Japan has a pretty big markup on them over Japanese retail. Best bet if you know exactly what you want is to proxy from Japan or find it on Rakuten / Yahoo Japan.

However there are sometimes stores outside Japan that have good sales which brings prices down below Japanese retail. I bought an Attachment leather from Project 3,14 in Russia for ~30% off Japanese retail (which was like 70% off their retail). I've also bought Attachment on sale from autographmenswear.com in the UK and V-A on sale from rarehouse-online.com in HK. Generally it seems the sales need to get to 50%+ off for the prices to be moderately cheaper than retail in Japan.

Anyone know where to find a jacket similar to the Gucci Madonna bomber? Cannot find this jacket for sale in black so hoping there are some alternatives.

Damir Doma, 2009. No idea what kind of leather but it's definitely a S/S kind of weight and feel. Clunky zips throughout. No lack of straps. Sleeves can be pulled up to the elbows and fastened. Internal belt allows you to sling it over your shoulder and tighten to back to suit your needs. More of a leather shirt. I think I'm in love.

Don't think I could ever own a white leather without constant fear of getting some kind of stain all over it.
