i know, just making dumb joke. I kinda like that Balenciaga rider interpretation except for the short stand-up collar. the minimalist design is my cup of tea.

I'm x-posting this because of the continuous discussions on RO leather (and frequent comparisons with TOJ).

One of these leathers is a black lamb RO, the others are TOJ (from L to R: goat, lamb, calf, lamb, lamb). I know a picture doesn't tell the whole story but take a look at the leather and construction side by side...

Really hard to compare because all you see if the small bit of the jacket and it is difficult to see because the pic is somewhat blurry as well. You can kind of tell the RO looks thinner but there isn't much surprise there really.

Yes, there are limitations to the picture - but one can still compare leather quality (as it may come through in a picture) and more importantly the construction of that sleeve head (stitching, gusset).

I can tell you all day long that my TOJ are better made jackets than my RO (and I imagine you would too), but most people discount these statements as opinion, so a picture from time to time helps.

whether you are understanding why the discussion is happening or not isn't as relevant as the fact that the discussion is actually happening. Sometimes facts are important. Also, your opinion that "nobody" is buying RO for quality is probably a bit off. May not be the most important factor but we care.

OK fine it doesn't help at all. You win. I posted a picture that's completely unhelpful to those who may care about the comparison between RO and TOJ, which according to Brad is nobody anyways. So wow, really sorry guys...

It's a cool photo, it just feels like shooting fish in a barrel to make that comparison. I say this as someone who really likes Toj.

Chill, it's not that serious. it's appreciated that you posted a pic but don't take offense if someone says that a person who hasn't handled either jacket will be able to tell which jacket is which.

And if you barely know anything about jacket contruction, you won't know which stitching and sleeve construction is better, especially from a pic that only shows very little.

seriously, you can't tell anything about quality from that picture. all you can tell is that TOJ uses thicker leather(which really means nothing, it's all about what you prefer) and TOJ has very neat and clean looking construction.

It doesn't change the fact that TOJ is nothing like RO in any way. Some prefer one, some prefer the other, but I'm willing to bet it's 99% about the look and design
