Leather Jackets: Post Pictures of the Best You've Seen/Owned? - Page 409

Ok. Round 2. When it comes to military jackets, they have to be old. Otherwise they look too much like a costume for halloween. I searched for years for the right one and last year I found exactly what I wanted. This Vintage US Navy jacket I discovered in RRL in NYC. I think it was $2,500. I'm a 38' and even though the jacket is a 40, it fits completely snug and has a very slim cut. The wear is really nice on this one and the vintage patches are some of the nicest I've seen on a jacket. Sorry the pictures aren't the best, but I can upload better ones later.
Isn't it a costume though? unless you're a fighter pilot from the 40's.
Just about every modern leather jacket is based off either fighter pilot jackets or biker jackets, so it's not that much of a stretch... I get what he's saying, if it looks beat up it looks like what it is (a cool thrift store find) while if it's new it just looks ridiculous.
nah man nobody here has ever shopped in nyc or knows anything about good quality leather. you've owned these faggots lol
