This was a Club Monaco x Golden Bear collaboration from about 2 seasons ago. Loved it as soon as I saw it and waited for the right price. It's a navy blue cafe racer (I think) with a sort of linen chambray type liner. Here's someone's listing with full pics - http://www.thefedoralounge.com/threads/golden-bear-x-club-monaco-dark-navy-cafe-racer-med-fits-38-40.86083/

1. This could get expensive since the specialist has to detach the sleeve at the shoulder to make alterations and sew it back. Leather stretches also, so it might feel looser again over time even if you had it slimmed down.
2. I think those are bi-swing backs for a wider range of motion so it makes no sense to sew them up.
3. Its not supposed to open like that but I don't have a solution for you.

Damn, sounds more complicated than I was hoping for. I was hoping they could just open the sleeve liner and pull in the bicep area a bit. If it involves taking off the shoulder then that's a no go. I'll keep the swing backs in that case. I think the sleeve zippers open up because the sleeves are a bit long on me. If the bicep or whole sleeve was slimmer then it would probably stay up better. I'd love to be able to wear this with only a t-shirt but I feel like I need a sweater or layers around the arms to keep the sleeves filled out. That or start working on those biceps but who am I kidding amirite?

Otherwise, the leather looks great.
Yeah so it's a cool jacket but I see you guys wearing them quite fitted and it feels a tad dad-like in terms of the fit. The armholes are high enough, it's just this bicep that seems baggy. Body too, including chest are snug enough for sure. I've got a fairly normal body type so I think it's the arms on this, not me. It's my first leather and I'm not sure how it's supposed to look. I got the XS so what more could I do. Love the jacket, and the price, even if the fit is only 8/10 for my first one.

I'll get a fit pic up next week when I'm back home and see what you guys think. Thanks for the advice/info.

Thanks MC,

This is pretty much spot on for what im looking for. I saw this on CM awhile ago and should have got it when it was on sale there...(i bought a green cashmere blazer instead)

Some of their collabs are a 'miss' but there are plenty of wins and knowing CM, they always go on sale. Just wait for a couple of mark downs, then a 30-40% off weekend and you're golden (bear!).

Some of their suede and fabric baseball style jackets are decent. Just note that the leather part's going to wear a lot better than the cotton cuffs and hem. I prefer all leather for the durability.

Has anybody raised the arm holes of their leather jacket?  I'm wondering how expensive it would be

Impossible. Don't even bother.

Thanks!

Received a PR email about this and thought maybe someone here would find it interesting. Buck Mason has a somewhat standard/ generic looking DR coming out, with a pre-order price of $795 (down from $895). Maybe a good option for someone on a (relatively) tighter budget.

No Man Walks Alone is also getting some leather jacket brand. Photo on their IG, but no brand info yet

Somewhat related, I tried to get a very good tailor to shorten the arms on my Iron Heart horsehide jacket and while she was optimistic at first, she called me a week later to say it was basically impossible due to the thickness of the leather and the glue/material used to adhere the inner lining to the leather.

Didnt see anything around lately so I'll ask here.

Really good specialists in NYC to slim a sleeve and add a zipper cuff?

I had it done at Johnson's leather in San Francisco.  That, and a few other adjustments.  Entire thing cost close to $300.  I think that the armholes, and shoulders cost $90 each, and was the bulk of the expense.
