It was fine when I was swapping them out more, but now basically anytime I go to choose a leather jacket, I just wanna wear the Layer-0. Honestly I'm a lot happier with one leather (well, three technically), I don't have to think about it - just grab it and go. I feel like it's "my" leather now, which is how a leather jacket should be.

I have a couple good close-ups.. the leather is so thick and juicy, the cut is perfect, the construction is amazing. Here's a couple shots new. You can see the white, waxy finish that has worn off for a deep black.

Here's a fit pic from a week ago:

Here's some shots I took just now.

Beautiful! Love the creasing and how it's molded to your body now. Definitely looks like "your" jacket. Congrats. Also really like how they do the sleeve panels.. kind of raglan style but with higher seams.

damn @tellure, @nicelynice, @Callusing you guys really got this thread back up with the last few posts. Cool journeys and i enjoyed reading and seeing everyone transform. I don't have pics sadly so i'll just write mine up....

these jackets are all of the most recent years.

wife got me a hugo boss thick moto jacket, soft lamb and wears well for the cold times as its lined and thick. around that time i got into SF and started exploring.

here is what i have/had and for now am paused on Leather jackets.
TOJ MOTO - in the good days i got a 4 zip blacked out moto in calf, still have it heavy as shit, sadly don't wear it enough but when i do it feels like armor.
RO blistered lamb intarsia - got it from Albert (Collateral Concepts designer and doctor) but sold it cuz it didnt fit me well in midsection
RO 2014 stooges plinth with hidden hood - this one is lamb and easy to wear, kind drapy almost, ended up being my go to jacket
ro 2015 heavy calf stooges - haven't worn it as much but super nice and i quiet love it, may need to wear it out more but is hot in bay area right now.

I think my favorite leather jacket is the ma+ biker jacket, i just love everything about it but worry on the fit side or ease of use. I need to give incarnation, layer-0 and ccp a try some time.

I haven't been wearing leathers as much due to practicality reasons, i just like running out of the house and putting on stuff thats not heavy/stiff. However, i do love a good leather jacket. I completely agree with NN, 2-3 is enough.

@tellure - would love to see more pics of the grey heavy calf stooges, i didnt even know one dropped. Sadly RFX45 no longer posts in this thread and i am not as updated.

Yeah I'll try to post some fit pics when I get it back from the tailor.. just like NN I had to get the sleeves shortened. And I'm 6 feet tall with normal length arms! RO just loves those super-long sleeves.

I'd like to see your 2015 heavy calf stooges too.. that looked like a really nice leather.

I really wished that that Layer-0 jacket fit me.  For one, it is really cool.  for two, it's a whole lot more accessibly priced than the CCP scarstitch, which is just ridiculous.

My latest, an ELMC Roadstar. Vegetable tanned horsehide. Based on the Buco j-24 pattern. Its my first D-pocket and I quite like it for something a little different. I prefer the look when its worn open which is strange as I prefer my Aero Bootlegger when its worn zipped

....and yes, I have to clean my mirror  ;)

NN That Layer-0 leather is incredible.

Just curious, are the Layer-0 leather jackets fairly consistent in terms of the leather, or does it depend quite a bit on the particular hide the jacket was made from?

How do you like the Fritz? I've almost bought one a couple times over the past year when they turned up on the secondhard market, but never pulled the trigger. And I feel like I've heard some good things and some not so good things about Geller's leathers.
