Yes, the Vincenza has a really nice smell, doesn't it? I have two in my bedroom now, they are my version of potpourri. (the wife disagrees)

In terms of fit, I'm just not sure what you would really accomplish. Aero might not tighten up the upper arms additionally, as that might be considered part of the pattern. To me, they don't look bad (at all), and to me part of the look of the Board Racer is the taper starting near the elbows down to the sleeve zippers. From the side views I wouldn't trim the back anymore. Don't end up with it as a second skin, l made that mistake on my first board racer, ending up selling it and going with the next size up and now I'm thrilled with the fit / comfort. I agree with another comment that a little bit more sleeve length would be good if you were riding in it, but if it's just for casual wear that's another aspect I wouldn't change. I think you did really well and if IMO it's time to just beat it up and let it conform to your body.

And the deal wasn't that great - as Aero's sales seldom seem to be - maybe like 10% off the standard price. So there's not much holding me back from placing an new order "from scratch" if that would be worth it terms of fit.This jacket is completely new though. Of course, if there isn't anything to do to improve the fit, then I might just as well keep it.

So, alterations and improvements. Any ideas? I was thinking maybe taking out a bit at the lower back (which will probably make a center seem necessary as on the regular Board Racer) and maybe slimming the upper sleeves a tiny bit. Does these seem like good ideas or am I just nitpicking and being OCD about the whole thing?

I would keep it.  I think that any alterations could and should be done locally.  There is very little that could be accomplished by getting a new jacket.  You could maybe get the arms 1/2" longer, but it's not worth it, imo.  As for the arms, how tall/skinny are you?  I find the arms for Aero jackets to be pretty trim through the shoulders and arms, generally, and I am not a guy who looks like a body builder.

i'm not seeing any reason why you'd want to get it altered, fit is spot on imo. jacket looks great on you.

@ChrisGold, @LA Guy, @hmtwrk, @Hot_Escargot - thanks for chiming in. I appreciate it.

I will not use this jacket for riding (I don't ride anything but bikes) so personally I think the sleeve length is fine.

Well I would say that I am of pretty regular build and height - 6'1'', about 180 lbs and with a 42-43'' chest and a 33-34'' waist. Not skinny at all by SF standards, I guess.

Decided after losing 35 lbs I would treat myself to a new leather jacket even though it won't see much wear in this Florida weather but oh well. I went with the Blk Dnm Leather Jacket 31

I've mentioned this before in other posts but I picked up a blk dnm double rider awhile back and was impressed with the quality for the price. They aren't exactly top of the line jackets but they're still a decent buy, imo.

Belstaff A2 "Button Blouson", designed for Brad Pitt to wear in "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" (:foo: w000t!). Will probably let it go soon in order to maybe fund an Aero 1930's Half Belt or Highwayman, so I am throwing up a couple of pics in here just for "historical reference". :)

Fit Pic. MY DSLR was not wanting to work with me while I was trying to get a decent pic...Overall very happy with the jacket though IMO

The way you like things to fit, I would suggest that half belt rather than the Highwayman, which, I believe that @ChrisGold said, is fairly boxy.  The 30s half belt, on the other hand, as a pretty straight fit.

In other news, my leather paints are here.  Now it's just matter of finding the time and motivation to put this stencil on the back of my 30s half belt.

Totally agree, they do have the new Premier Fit Highwayman, which is what you should consider if you want to go that route. Regular Highwayman is as boxy as Aero makes.

Black & White one looks incredible. Wasn't sure if it'd look good in person, you pull it off well.
