I like this in black without the belt. More fashion, less biker look.

Is this too small? I'm a bit confused as this is a size 50 with 19" shoulders and 21.5" chest, but instead of dropped shoulders it looks tighter than my jacket with 18.5" shoulders and 22" chest.

I like how it feels overall and it's only a tad more constricting (calf vs lamb?), but it doesn't seem to be the intended fit most go for.

half inch difference is minuscule, that's why you can't see a difference

You an afford to size up but i think it fits well at this size too

Right now, it's about 1/2-1" too long for a cafe racer, the arms are about 1/2" too tight, and the shoulders will be relaxed to accomodate more sloped shoulders - though there will probably be 2 options, "sloped" and "Normal" shoulder, which are the two most common types.  We are also adjusting the angle of the handwarmer pockets, and going to the stock pulls will be tab, rather than bell, pulls.

Bought a vintage leather jacket but it has a slight dusty smell. Anyone know how to get rid of it? I've heard of the distilled vodka trick. Might try that, but would welcome other suggestions.

@LA Guy is there a particular thread to follow the development of the Luxire leather jackets? I know Falcon has a thread now, but would love to subscribe to see how it's going with your project as well.

Also, any particular release date?

collar + shoulder looks great,

are you sure the jacket is too long?  or could it be the breast zip pockets need to be a tad lower?

BTW, is there any theory where windflap should be? men/ women thing or depending on the zipper type?

and also about where the breast pocket zip puller should be when closed, either to the side or to the center, personally I prefer to close to the center because sometime I wear backpack.

I'll make a dedicated thread when we are closer.

The collar looks good, and the shoulder shape itself is good, but the slope of the shoulder is not deep enough.  That's why there is some extra fabric under the arms and the jacket doesn't fall as straight as it does on the side on which my arm is raised.  That's closer to how it should look.

The zip pockets will have plain square tabs as a default, so they won't be as prevalent.  However I like them zipped closed towards the outside.  I am not a huge fan of the nipple tassle look which sometimes happens.  Since the jackets will all be MTM though, you can probably get them done either way.  I also think that the breast zip pockets being high is a more falltering look than having them lower, which can cause that a "droopy" chest, especially for guys without any pecs (fwiw, I don't have huge pecs, but I'm not shallow chested either, and definitely not by Styleforum SWD standards.)

The jacket is definitely a bit too long.  Zipped up, it goes under my belt, and covers the top of my pockets.  Even for a "fashion" jacket, it's too long.  I think that something like a 25.5"-26" back hem is about the right length for a size 40US, assuming that that person is 5'10" to 6', average proportions.  It should it about mid belt.  I suppose that you can get it longer, but if you do, you can end up with the bubble butt problem.

I would agree.  This one case in which that shoulder construction really works.  While the leather looks rather soft, the slight sharpness in the shoulders really makes that jacket pop.  I'm a fan.

do you mean more curve on the cut of the armhole on the front panel that would result in smaller/ narrower chest? I see that forward facing sleeves on some CR, would be tidier and also feel nicer when driving/ riding I suppose.

Will that eliminate the rib cage looking creases normally seen on CR right after/ below the breast pockets? before I suspect this is caused or aggravated by the presence of horizontally placed metal zip chest pockets& its square leather backing and typical snug fit of CR, without chest pocket or when the pocket zip is vertical or very deep angled on the chest, most of the time the creases are less dramatic, and some loose/ relax fit CR also has much less creases,

and if the front part has side panel under the arm, so it hangs more 3 dimensionally, I think it will also has less crease... but probably then it would be  further away from CR look.

(X-post from traditional leather jacket thread.)

Anyone with any experience of the "Vicenza" Italian horsehide that Aero uses? How does it compare to FQHH in quality? Will it age as well as regular FQHH?
