I think that looks great. It's good to feel somewhat constricted; it's not like you're playing basketball for a living.

Looking forward to hearing your impressions, especially about the leather.

Will do. Anything specific about the leather you want to know?

Some closeups of the leather, its thickness, stiffness (or conversely its suppleness), etc...

Thanks. I'm always in the market for something else. I'll be in London next year on a vacation and am thinking about stopping in and getting measured for something while I'm there.

Well, that's racist.  There are plenty of good Chinese basketball players.  Yao Ming.  That other tall Chinese guy.  Um, the player formerly known as Ron Artest.

lol8[1].gif i wouldn't interpret that as racist, just implies someone is not tall

?  Now I'm just confused.

Anyway, my next leather jacket project is ready to go.  I have an black denim vest (fits like a dream) that I am going to put leather sleeves on and cover the yoke and front shoulder panels with.

Sorry for clogging up the thread with yet another 5-Zip fit question. This will be the last time, I promise. It's just that when you've handled a few garments that are very similar to each other, you kind of loose perspective and often miss the little things. At least I do. So I need some fresh eyes on this.

I am still trying to find the combination of cut and leather with the 5-Zip that flatters me the most. This time it's last seasons model in calf that is up for consideration. As people have noted earlier in this thread, its slimmer than earlier season's versions so I actually sized up on this one to get a more classic 5-Zip fit. But what do you guys think, did I size up too large? Does it look too big? Keep in mind that this jacket is brand new and so haven't broken in yet. So being made out of calf, I assume that some areas will get more close fitting with time (sleeves, shoulders etc).

Thanks again for all your kind help and thoughts.

Personally I think this version looks better on me compared to the lamb one I posted a while back. But I still feel a bit unsure. Or confused, I don't know. smile.gif

Warning: A LOT more pics... (Click to show)
