Leather Jackets: Post Pictures of the Best You've Seen/Owned? - Page 896

What do you mean by A shape? That it flared out near the waist?

Differences from the old fit:

Way more tapered
Less leather between arm zippers meaning smaller cuff opening when unzipped
Extra inside pockets, inside bottom leather bit has changed slighting (maybe beneficial since it folds and sits better due to it being not as stiff on the sides
Bottom is double stitched instead of folded over (this is shit)
Zippers are RIRI M8 (looks better and actually not as clanky since the larger pulls hit the leather instead of the zipper itself)
Inside lining is rayon instead of cotton/rayon
Sits straight on body instead of the A shape of the old fit
Tag now sits on top instead of on the side pocket
Side pockets are horizontal instead of vertical with a button closing
More leather on the inside of the main zipper making it drape better

Would love to see pictures if you have the time.

^ Me too. And it would also be very interesting if you could post pictures of the differences you speak about (if you have time of course). For example how the jackets fit differently, the akward zipper (before & now). Also I'm not sure if I really understand the double stitched hem vs fold.

Never owned a 5zip or even saw one in person but I would love to have one one day so learning about all the small differences is really interesting.

Cross post from Should I or Shouldn't I:

I've been on the hunt for the perfect leather and still have not found it but wondering what you all think, Should I keep this Rick Intarsia - Chunky Calf Leather code LBO - or Keep my older Rick Mollino - Calf Leather, It's been through hell and back but its much thicker and tougher and feels like it could withstand almost anything.

I actually really like that olive color, never seen one like that before

I've got this jacket too and agree that it's excellent.

It's one of the best colors, called "cactus." Really decent leather too, thick and juicy

Yeah, like a tent-shape when viewed from the side. Front and back flared out, it's a cool silhouette
Here's how the new one fits:

You can see how suppressed the waist is

Cuff zippers don't open as much

Tag on top now

Inside pockets (deceptively deep)

Double stitch on hem

All in all the simplicity of the OG design was lost slightly and the jacket took a slight step closer to the Dior/SLP aesthetic.
Warning: Fit in my boxers (Click to show)

Where's it made? Is it still made by Staff International?
Yep, still in the Staff International facility in Italy. Now it also says 'For USA only'
