Not every jacket has to be for you, you know. It's totally cool to acknowledge the positive traits of things you have no interest in. It's totally cool to take an interest in a jacket's functionality even if your top priority is fashion.

I say this only because you seem to interject your personal opinion into every single discussion, whether or not it's warranted. And of course, a community like this is a place for sharing your opinions! But you shouldn't ignore context, either.

It was final sale and slightly larger than I prefer, so I soaked and ran it through a dryer to shrink it. The sleeves and back panel got some incredible texture out of the process -- an enlarged grain effect that almost looks like an exotic leather. (I want to photograph this, but can't seem to get an accurate shot.) Now it fits perfectly and the aesthetic is actually improved, in my opinion.

The product page is here, but the photos don't at all do justice to the leather quality:

Too big when using the outside zipper (i.e. the one that would make it smaller) or the inside one? Are you going to use the two different zippers depending on your layering for the day, or keep the second zipper as more of a fashion detail?

Saw a guy in school wearing the H&M double-rider from f/w 14, looked pretty damn good

Regret not ordering it online, they only had it in 48 in the store here

Do you have a budget and a style in mind (classic vs modern slim)? That will help determine what to look at.

Thanks man!

I love the bomber jackets, this one, I think it's fantastic

But something a bit lighter (in terms of weight if that makes sense) would be great too.

The budget is what I'm affraid of... I can't spend a lot of money right now hehehe.

I really like brown jackets, I don't use a lot of black, so any shade of brown would be better.

If you don't have at least $500 to spend, it's probably not worth getting a leather.

That sounds reasonable. But something beyond $1,000 usd right now, would not be reachable.

yeah they're good

I have a few of their linen Ts and am quite happy with them.
I also once ordered the Roni wool-leather jacket (as seen here, although I didn't get it from Barneys) and really liked the quality and the fabric and the way the wool contrasted with the leather bits. Unfortunately they cut very short sleeves, so in the end I decided to return it.

Schott's a good starting point.
