Ok fair enough.

Is the leather super thick?

Unfortunately I have what some might call an "athletic" or "sprinter's" body, meaning big ass and thighs compared to the rest of my body... those jeans are not very baggy, but can give that impression. Again, I should't have taken as many zipped pics but I knew if I didn't I'd get requests for them so I did it up front. Totally understand what you are saying though, I like the jacket very much unzipped, and plan to wear it that way all the time.

I think it's a matter of perspective... as a motorcycle rider and Vanson wearer... no. Compared to say a Schott light weight calf, like a 654, yes. I find that it is breaking in very quickly, without the use of any type of leather conditioners. But overall, as a casual jacket as it was intended, probably thicker than 95%. It suits me because I am used to thicker, but to those who are used to more fashion oriented jackets, it probably would take some getting used to.

Good pics Synth, thank you for adding these. Also shows the Minto lining which I really like.

Hey @Synthese  can you comment on how Vanson and Horween leather compares to TOJ calf?

I agreed to take a few photos for Thurston Bros, that's all. I don't own one, though. I have no experience with super heavy weight leathers, as ChrisGold seems to. Relative to things I own or have owned, it is very thick.

One more question, what's thicker, LG (washed lamb?) or LS silky lamb, I imagine LG by a lot?

LG is a lot thicker (and IMO nicer, unless you're looking for a spring/summer weight) than LS. It depends on the season, though, as codes get reused with slightly different leathers between seasons. LG has a bit of grain, usually - sometimes too much for the clean Rick designs.

It's vegetable tanned calfskin of quite high quality and decent thickness. If you've handled the thicker Guidi calfskin leathers, it's just about identical. I don't know where it's sourced from, somewhere near the Black Forest is what I was told by an SA awhile ago. It has a bit of a sheen that lessens over time and the grain varies from part to part, some smooth, some rough, so be sure to inspect individual pieces to make sure it's what you want.
