It is SLP and I thought the same thing. Maybe it's some weird version they sent to Neiman Marcus. I'm of avg height and weight, so i dunno.

styleforum is ordering a rider jacket which is probably going to be better quality than that SLP, if you are interested see http://www.styleforum.net/t/387175/vanson-styleforum-thurston-bros-slim-fit-japanese-double-rider-mto

Anyone know anything about this Margiela "bomber," as Ssense calls it. Is it as slim fitting as it looks, to the point of sizing up? I more want this season's blue 5 zip, but I want it for like $1000.

I would take your regular size. Funny thing is, this model is wearing a size small (46) in that jacket, where as with pretty much everything else he's worn for the site, was a size medium (48). It also really doesn't look like he can comfortably even zip that jacket up, idk what SSENSE was thinking sizing down on him for this piece.

Has anyone handled:

http://www.spence.it/store/men/Martin-margiela-leather-jacket-art27194.html

It's a toss up for me between that one and:

http://www.spenceclothing.com/store/men/Rick-owens-stooges-biker-leather-jacket-art21587.html

From what I've read about RO leathers they are very variable on quality, which is similar to MMM I guess.

Hey,

When you guys are purchasing your leather jackets, which key areas do you guys make sure fit's perfectly with your measurements? The shoulders, chest, or sleeves? Of course in a perfect world, I would like everything to match up to measurements, however that is highly unlikely.

I'm looking to purchase this http://www.mrporter.com/product/399652

The shoulders measurements matches up perfectly with my own numbers in a L, but the chest, waist etc are little bigger. However the numbers in a M matches up perfectly except my shoulders, which is .5 smaller. Which size would you guys recommend? The L or the M? I've tried on the M and its quite snug, I don't think i'd be able to wear anything except a t-shirt underneath it.

I'm planning to wear this mainly during spring, fall season, maybe pre-summer on colder nights.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I handled that navy 5-zip at Barney's and it feels very light and non-luxe.  The RO looks bad even though I haven't seen it in person.

Damn, just as I expected. They had this crazy navy horsehide one a few years back.

I used to own the 5-Zip in black, I currently own the Stooges.

I think the Stooges is a far better looking jacket, more classic.

Plus, dark navy is a bad colour for leather. So close to black, but not quite black.
