This.

Personally, I'd get one, and would like to see it get off the ground.

Cheers,

Fok.

i didn't try that, i had a thermal on which was a bit thicker than a shirt and i would probably not wear anything other than a shirt with it, the lining made it warm enough...

what season is that from KJ? doesn't look like intarsia or the other "moto" design

FW 2012.  It's the "rover."

I'd remove the cuff zipper, cut off around 2"-3" of excess sleeve length peepwall[1].gif
replace with a shorter zipper, and keep the original length difference with the sleeve lining

I think I need a jacket with more of a taper than rick though :/

Looks very close to the stone wash on my stooges "plinth"

See I'm not a fan of modifying leathers, if I can stack the sleeves then it would be fine and I eat my cake with a fork so the sleeves won't be a problem

I don't know about you guys, but I eat cake with my mouth.

The LGI leather, right? Have you felt it? Feels very thin and cheap, not a huge fan of it. Can't imagine it looking too great over time. Guess it's alright for a spring jacket if you're looking for a thin one. It's nice to see the retail price going down, but wanna see some of the awesome leathers he's used like oiled calf and heavy washed lamb to make a return.

But they're usually tight in the shoulders, too.  As opposed to something that's a bit of a dropped shoulder or just fits looser in general.  For example, the jacket Fok posted has way more of a V-shape than most rick jackets besides maybe the shearlings.

I like my Rick a lot but I'm not positive it's the most flattering cut on me.

They have tight shoulders but very high armholes which works with the cut.

Fits the upper body like a glove.

I have an LGI jacket. The leather has actually softened up a lot since I've been wearing it regularly. I was kind of iffy on it at first, but it has grown on me.

@sinnedk  glass ice. It's RO's lambskin with some sort of finish.

@dan138zig  thanks man.

I was fifteen minutes early to Rare for dinner.  I noticed the “H Lorenzo” sign 100 feet away.  I recalled reading the store name on this thread and, therefore, suggested to my wife that we kill the fifteen minutes there.  Very impressive store.  Unfortunately, fifteen minutes was not nearly enough time to get the full experience; to the contrary, I only scratched the surface (never made it upstairs – apparently, all Kapital).  Most of the pieces were far too avant-garde for my particular taste.  I looked at a few MA+ jackets.  The leather on this MA+ jacket was unreal – like butta:

My wife really dug that jacket.

Conversely, the leather on this jacket was similar to a heavy glad trash bag:

I spent most of my time interacting with this Bison jacket:

Great design and fantastic Bison hide/grain.  So I decided to try it on.  I told the salesman I am typically a 40-42.  He recommended a 54.  Lol!  I am 6 feet and 175 lbs.  I could not zip the jacket closed – in fact, there was at least a couple of inches between the zippers when pulled snug.  Moreover, the sleeves were so long that my finger tips were barely visible.  The salesman said a 56 would fit me perfectly but, alas, I didn’t have time to test his hypothesis.

The foregoing is likely well known to most here, who are considerably more familiar with these types of jackets.  I really liked the design of the Bison jacket and would consider it but for the unworkable fit.  Oh well.

Now that I am aware of H Lorenzo, I will go back when I have more time to soak in the full experience.  Unfortunately, my wife also likes the store and she too will be returning.  Gulp.
