We can modify the pockets on the Vanson VAJ-3 to look a lot like those chest pockets.  I've attached a photo of the VAJ-3 below.

We modify a lot of Vanson's existing designs for our shop and for our customers...Vanson takes a tremendous amount of pride in their work and their jackets turn out amazing!

The price on this design would be $749.00 USD (base price of $629 + $120 pocket redesign).  Also, we can do this in Vanson's X150 leather (shown below), Vanson's Comp. Weight leather (this is their standard leather), or Vanson's Firenze leather (this is a lighter weight leather).  My suggestion would be to go with either the X150 or Comp. Weight (the jackets in these leathers develop amazing patina over time!).

I hope this helps!

If the design's going to be based off a base model, is it possible to slim down the sleeves, raise the armholes, and put more body taper in the jacket?

Those jackets don't look at all similar in my opinion.

This jacket--the Vanson VAJ-3--already has the higher armholes, slimmer sleeves, and tapered body when compared to other Vanson Cafe' Racers.  In fact, some customers feel it's too confining because of the straight fit...

To create something remarkably close to the junya x Vanson

If anything it'd be the arms of the first one and the body of the second one with modified pockets and elbow patches.

Thanks for the info Thurston Bros. Noticed a new model being displayed on Vanson's facebook page which interestingly has the look of one of the Junya's.

Why not just start from scratch and have your own custom design made?????smile.gif

I find that for most people, full custom is a terrible idea. It puts people in the designer's seat, which is really not a good thing.

I give ideas to my leather designer, and he produces sketches for me to approve, and different leather swatches, and makes them to my size.

I find this collaboration works very well for me..smile.gif

They're so amazing that you can't post pictures of their awesome fit otherwise we'd all lose our sight due to their sheer EPICNESSSSSS!!!

I've just commissioned a car coat in midnight navy gloving leather lined in cashmere.

Once it's sketched, made and I have it I promise to post at least a trillion pictures of me modelling it!smile.gifsmile.gifsmile.gif
