Leather Jackets: Post Pictures of the Best You've Seen/Owned? - Page 704

Ro sizes don't matter, go off measurements, my old ro was. 50, my new one is a 52
post #10547 of 16653

Distorbiant: No one carries RO where I live, otherwise I would just go try one on.

sinnedk: Thanks for your help. I'm actually looking at jackets on the  rickowens.com website and they just have the size conversion chart but no measurements like Gilt has for the link you posted.

I'm also trying to figure out what designer this jacket is by. There's a logo on the back of the jacket but I have no idea who it might be by. Any thoughts?

If you wear a US 42 in suit jackets get a 54 in RO--for any 2013/2014 leathers.

@dudeman5000

I actually did not know the ro site gave out measurements for their jackets, I emailed them directly in the past.

Anyone have any thoughts/experiences on this SLP bomber?

I'm partial to SLP outerwear, since they're cut short and I'm 5'6". satisfied.gif

It looks like great leather, and the style is a classic.

If you're asking whether you should buy it - I'd say go ahead!!!smile.gifsmile.gifsmile.gif

I'm like 99% sure it's not worth the 3.5k price tag they're charging you at Mr. Porter

Based on that pic? Looks like waxed cotton from that pic and shape looks pretty bad too. Is it just me?

Wasn't a fan of leather when I saw it but not sure what you are looking for exactly. Looks slightly better than photo you posted but still looked weird

To create something remarkably close to the junya x Vanson

I don't understand why they don't just release a non-collab version.

Probably part of their agreement with Junya...

You can change zippers, pocket angle, etc. to your liking. You can choose a different leather as well. And slim arms, body, etc. The "ToJ is better looking" argument is purely subjective and kind of silly when you are dealing with stock photos of a stock product vs. a mtm product on the body for which it was measured.

You can customize Aero jackets?

It's not a fashion company, and they don't think like one. There is already a line of lighter weight jackets that are their "civilian" line. I doubt that they gave Junya much thought after what was probably a pretty small run. This from personal experience dealing with old school brands which have little interest in the fashion world.

To some degree, yes.
