Hi I'm 16 years old about to be a junior in high school. Everyone here wears Abercrombie, Hollister, or A. Eagle. Well I was getting tired of the style and want to start a new style. My plans were to: A) Wear every style, from hip hop to skater, prep to streetwear. B) Wear brands most people don't see, Triple 5 soul, Stussy, maybe Diesel. C) Streetwear Here are some pics of the clothes I'm wearing right now:

Um, congrats?

Simplest answer is to use the search button. Most of what you'll find can be summed up with this: get good basics, and go from there. Don't try to do everything at once, because you're not going to be able to. Start small and work your way up.

First of all, fix that picture. It hurts to look at it.

Next, everyone's gonna tell you to just read the other threads, and gather information from there. There's plenty of other threads that are similar (starting a new wardrobe, etc.).

I hope you have a lot of self-confidence, or a thick skin. You'll need one, or both, to deal with all the attention you'll get -- if you don't have the balls, you're just going to come off as a tool. I also hope you don't mind going broke. Make sure it fits. And fix the picture.

Wait ...
you look like the normal asian highschool kid.

Your still wearing "ripped jeans" and American Eagle.
And everyone and their moms wear Stussy, Diesel, and Triple 5 Soul.

Youre not exactly exploring a new frontier here ...

Just get some clothes that fit that dont have logos plastered on them.
Youll look classier, and people will notice.

Welcome to styleforum buddy. I think your best bet is to do as much reading as you can and spend some time learning what you like-- especially by looking at the WAYWN thread. From there buy the basics and then build up a wardrobe. Welcome!

I'm confused. Doesn't (C) sort of fall within the purview of (A)?

Please post pics of everything you wear, each morning, to this thread. I am really anxious to see how you "rock it" as they say

It is very important that you post naked pictures of yourself so that we can get an idea of the canvas so to speak. You're 18 right? 16? close enough seriously though I'm gonna save you the trouble and give you the automated response: - APC New Standards 2 inches smaller than ur normal (ripped jeans) waist size from www.denimbar.com with Style4um promotional code (idk if it is still valid) - Solid color shirts...people used to say get American Apparel but they have gone downhill...so anything without a bedazzled picture of a tiger assfucking an eagle on it. - Chuck Taylors / Vans authentics/eras keep in mind that these things will me you a drone in the internet forums' eyes...like that really matters. What it is designed to do is give you things that fit well that are fairly timeless, then if you decide u need more u can kinda figure out what u want like they said from lookin at WAYWT thread and stuff...

People said the same thing in response to that other guy who wanted feedback on his AA shirt fit, and the idea of a "standard SF look" smelled like BS then too. Sure, there are plenty of WAYWT pics that feature t-shirts and APC NSs, but these are far outnumbered by the "tuck a button-down into your jeans" ensemble. Not that this makes the hybrid of jeans and button-downs/western shirts/flannels trite or droney, but it shows that the variety of looks available in the SF pantheon is too large for anyone to finger one as the "look." Also, a plain t-shirt is a marvelous canvas for superneato outerwear. Anyone who wears outerwear could tell you that.
