Suit hangers - Page 4

You do not want plastic hangers.

"Inexpensive" is bad news also. Go to

www.hangerproject.com

Fuller details www.englishcut.com and read Tom Mahon's comments.

then buy.

Depends on what you want to do. For example I do not want to travel with bulky wooden hangers.
Also, if you have a small closet, you may want slimmer shoulder pads.

sorry to revive an old thread. does anyone know where i can buy hangers with a proper shape for bespoke suits. the hanger project ones are gorgeous of course, but out of my budget!..
i live in London, so would be handy if there is somewhere suitable in london. i am guessing the shape is the most important, so plastic will suffice, although if bettter i can purchase wooden hangers up to a certain price
thanks

Your profile shows you're a UK size 48 - you'll presumably need wide hangers, which limits your options. (Yes, I know it's an old post - just a reminder to others to consider this point).

You have bespoke suits but can't afford $25 per hanger for something decent?

hahaha, late to the thread but my thoughts exactly.  i can't afford bespoke suits but i'm still considering hanger project.

Neiman Marcus is selling Hanger Project hangers. I'd keep an eye on this, as they might go on sale in the coming months.

I just picked up six of these last week at less than $10 each. I think they're a good value.

Anybody know where these are made?

They're made in China.

Meh, that's what I figured.

Just curious. where are the Hanger Project hangers made in? I assume they are not made in USA

I also have some Hanger Project hangers and there is really not a great deal of difference. The Container Store hangers are nice especially comparing the price between the two. The tips on the H.P. are a little wider than the C.S. hangers.

Any experience of Toscanini's hangers? (http://www.toscaninisumisura.it) How are they compared to the ones from the Hanger project?

Well, they are both made in China, so I wouldn't expect there would be.
