I'm toying with the idea of making custom tweed cargo trousers. What's the price range of making something like this at reputable tailor shops in Seoul?

I'm in Seoul on an extended work trip and have spent the last few days doing research on tailors in the city. I was hoping to find a competent tailor to make a country suit and have it completed within a month. Half-canvassed and MTM is just fine for this particular project. I have many pictures of exactly what I want, so I'm not concerned about the tailor's sense of taste. Having had an awful experience with a traveling Indian tailor in the past, I *am* terrified of some of the comments I've read about Seoul tailors "nodding along to requests and then cutting a suit from their standard pattern." I am a regular Steed client and an occasional Huntsman customer. Fair enough if Seoul tailors are able to charge SR prices, but if I'm not getting a substantial discount on those prices I'd rather just go with what I know.

So far, I've had no luck finding what I am searching for. I've seen a lot of downright awful Seoul tailoring on this board and elsewhere. Seoul seems to have several tailors who are very good, but the prices are not that much different from what I would get at my regular tailor. I thought I would talk to "Saville Row Tailors" in Itaewon, but it appears to have closed. I considered Tailorable, but several bad reviews and a Youtube video convinced me that wasn't the right place for me.

So does anyone have any suggestions for a Seoul tailor circa 2022? Less expensive than SR, relatively fast turnaround (<30 days), is competent. Half-canvassed construction / MTM are fine.

In a surprising coincidence I rode right past Saville Row Tailors 20 minutes after posting here. As I had time, I asked my taxi to pull over and went in for a visit. I was wrong about it being closed, obviously. I was just looking in the wrong place previously. Mr. Choe measured me for a three-piece suit in Samsung/Chilen Goldentex tweed. The price we agreed on was 1.2mil Won. He had a very limited selection of Harris for which he was asking 2.1mil Won for a three-piece. I'm very glad I brought pictures of exactly what I was looking for, as we went through every detail. As mentioned elsewhere, our starting point seemed to be an American style sack suit with pants that sit low on the hips. I had to ask for everything, from waist suppression to suspender buttons. But that's ok, Mr. Choe seemed to know exactly what I was asking for when I mentioned it and didn't seem put off by any of my requests. I return for my first fitting in a few days.

I also went around the corner to Hamilton shirts on the suggestion of this board. They had a moderately large selection of fabrics. They took more measurements than Budds and noticed my slightly uneven shoulders. I was disappointed the only buttons they had to choose from were small and plastic. I purchased one shirt in white oxford cloth for 50k Won that will be ready in 7 days.

I'd strongly recommend you try Ascottage, who make something in a slightly more English style (the head cutter trained in London). Other reputable tailors are BnTailor of course and Sarto Jun.

Thank you for the recommendation. I visited today and commissioned a jacket, unmatched trousers, and a shirt. Large selection of fabrics. Price was 1.8mil for jacket and trousers.
They no longer offer MTM for jackets, but offer two "levels" of construction. I would say these are comparable to others "semi-bespoke" and bespoke. They have two house styles, an unstructured drape cut and a structured style they call the "London." Cutting is done on premises, the storefront has an attached workroom with large windows so customers can observe the cutters at work.

I'm very interested in their (Ascottage) style. Any thoughts on them
