I have big legs too, and I feel mikes pain because it's the same for me, big quads, skinny calves. Tapered stuff helps. Anyway, I'm doing rippetoe's and I'm just gonna keep going with squats/deadlifts. My legs will probably plateau before my upper body and I'm counting on the extra testosterone from my legs to boost my upperbody in to proportion when that happens.

My advice? Unless you're looking to make this some sort of career or serious hobby, relax and have fun. There's a genetic element, and a sizable one, I'd add, that people completely disregard when thinking about stuff like this.

I've gotten complements on my back as long as I can remember, yet did pretty much nothing to get it; while I worked my ass off to bulk up my arms, yet they were never big enough for me.

People spend all this time working on changing their body into something that'll make them happy, but the minute they stop their routine, things tend back to the "default" body they wanted to get away from in the first place.

You look the way you look, and while fitness is good and important, and changes can occur, it makes more sense to me to work to like what you've got than to change it.
