The Ultimate Protein Shake

Thread Starter
I'd like to get some ideas about what others like to use to possibly add to my daily ritualistic amalgamation (thesaurus) (I was going to use concoction but that would spur too many jokes)

Thus far I've been using Zero Impact MRPs due to the following characteristics

What's In It?

Blood Sugar & Insulin Stabilizing Proteins
21% GMPâ„¢ (Glycomacropeptide) WPI
Human Innoculated Proteinâ„¢
Micellean® Micellar Casein
Zero Impact Whole Grain Carbs
Zero Impact 50% Fibrous Carbs
Zero Impact Flax EFA'S
Fat Burning Fats: CLA & Sesamin
45g of Sustained Dispersion Bioactive Proteins:
HGF - High Growth Factor Whey Protein
Zero Impact Undenatured Micellar Casein
21% Glycomacropeptide Whey Protein Isolate
Steady State Amino Acid Dispersion
L-Glutamine/Peptide Bonded Glutamine
Complex Unrefined Carbohydrates
Essential Fatty Acids

Edit: nevermind..I was going to add but realized it was probably out of place under all your scientific mumbo jumbo.

+ a whole lot.

Drink some milk or eat some tuna or chicken. Done.

People way overcomplicate things.

CytoGain by cytosport is pretty good. 58 grams of protien when mixed with water. It also has glutamine and creatine.

I wouldn't consider drinking a protein shake overcomplicating anything. I agree it's very easy to drink milk, eat tuna or chicken...but's it's pretty easy to drink a protein shake too.

My bad. I misread the OP and thought he was mixing all of those things into his protein shake.

I know it's unfair, but I can't hear about protein without thinking of "My New Haircut."

"MAA! WHERE'S MAH PROTEIN!"

I'm also trying to build muscle lately, and so I've been eating a lot of cottage/feta cheese and nuts. Are the latter protein sources?

They do contain protein but they contain more fat than anything else. You should find a leaner protein source (e.g. protein shakes, chicken, tuna, turkey, etc).

this is very nearly my morning ritual. except i don't do the whey protein. and i've been known to add some cooking dark chocolate to the mix. i just wish there was some surefire trick to getting the blender to really deal with the ice well.

wow i like all these protein shake ideas. But you guys must be spending upwards of 40-50 bucks a week!?!? Does any one know a cheaper shake or mixture that would work just the same.
