Different things work for different people. I've always had pretty bad acne and over the last six months I've stopped using all of my prescriptions (Triaz benzyol peroxide and Differin) and stuck to a much simpler regimen. I use the Dan Kern gentle cleanser and the Men-u Tea Tree Oil face wash, varying (with no schedule) which I use when -- the only constant being that I use the Men-u after shaving. I've found that there's a very direct correlation whereby my acne goes down if I consistently use toner during the day. I use the Baxter Herbal Mint. It is wonderful. I use moisturizer when I walk out the door in the morning and don't use toner until like 3PM or so, and find that it does not dry my skin, which is very important. Also, I can't recommend highly enough the Baxter Oil-Free Moisturizer. I also learned in this time period that moisturizing at night is essential for fighting acne. My diet has long been healthy, but these simple products (and very pleasant too, I quite enjoy using all of them, I like treating my face) and self-awareness (no longer putting my hands on my face) has led to much healthier skin. Oh, and when I get breakouts, I'm using the Lab Series for Men Spot Treatment. It's okay, seems to work, but after all these years of acne, I'm pretty sure that there's nothing that really "zaps" a zit. You can treat it with something like the Lab Series product, but just give it a few days, keep it clean, and it'll go away. Actually, this is as good of a place as any to ask this question. The Baxter toner is wonderful, but a bit cumbersome in a cube-free, wide-open office setting as mine. I have to surreptitiously reach for a cotton ball in my drawer and apply the toner, then walk to the bathroom and apply the product. I am not ashamed of my skin care but I would certainly be inviting criticism and mockery if I did this openly at my desk. I wish that Baxter sold this product like Wet-Naps, in easy-to-carry single-serving wipes. I'd ask for another product that is sold this way, but I don't want to move off the Baxter. Can anyone think of an easier way to do this at the office? Does anyone else deal with this?
