Can anyone suggest a solid haircutting establishment in New York? Please, something reasonably priced with a good reputation. Nothing sexist but I prefer to have my hair cut by a male barber.

I think theres a jean louis david in manhattan in france they are considered pretty good and its prob a showcase in manhattan so they ought to be pretty good, I have no idea if this is the sort of barber shop you are looking for though

If you're looking for an alright list with some user reviews, I've found http://yelp.com to be useful for big cities (primarily a San Fran creation, but it's not bad for Chicago and NY). You're really best off asking people who have a style you like a lot where they get their hair cut though, imo.
