What is the most disturbing film you've seen?

The usual flicks mentioned in response to this question are things like The Exorcist, Jacob's Ladder, Henry, Audition, Three Extremes, etc.

I recently found a few 'most controversial films' lists, and being a horror buff I was surprised/disappointed that I didn't recognize hardly any of the titles. I've since watched some clips of some of them off of torrent sites, and wow. Aftermath, Guinea Pig 2, August Underground... I didn't know they made movies like this. I like horror and all but geez some of that made me want to puke.

I've not heard of any of those.

I didn't find The Exorcist or Audition particularly disturbing (and I haven't seen the others). In fact, the only film which has made for uncomfortable viewing has to be Ichi The Killer. But there was a moment in Platoon where I wanted to stop watching.

I don't typically find fiction films disturbing; it's documentaries on certain subjects I find disturbing. However, lots of my friends that I've recommend "13 Tzameti" to have found it pretty disturbing. If you have Netflix, you can watch this online.

Reqiuem was a good movie... slightly disturbing IMO. Mondo Cane I haven't seen.

13 Tzameti I just added to my queue, thanks for the recommendation.

I just thought of another one- Kids, that 90s Larry Clark movie. The thought that those characters mimicked someone in real life even a little was disturbing.

Twist it a little, but Supersize Me was kinda disturbing in its own way.

I was a little disturbed by Texas Chainsaw Massacre (the new one). The part where the chainsaw murderer guy comes out with the other guy's face on him was freaky.
