Drinking Games - Page 3

I despise people who hold opinions on others such as drinking is gay and puerile and people who do this lack style and class. So what exactly is wrong with a drinking game except that you take no joy in doing it? what is wrong with drinking alcohol? What makes a drinking game less worthwhile than playing sports if the outcome is ultimately pleasure for the person. as long as people are able to spend some good time together it seems like a much better idea than being locked up at home sipping on whiskey and pretending to like it because you can seem attractive with it. sorry but Ill have to disagree with you on that one, I hope no offense is taken of course. I just dont see the corrolation between drinking and having a good time while doing it and having a sense of class or style. i respect those who say they dont do it or condone it but I am very hostile to idiots who take the liberty of saying I have no social skills in partaking in these actions. But I guess it may not be me who is lacking in social skills (i.e. a person entering a thread named drinking games when he hates theses is like a person going into an opposing political party's rally to yell at people, very VERY poor taste and lack of respect and social fiber)

Jeez.

I posted here under the assumption that everyone did this sort of thing during college - I certainly did. I had a grand time playing these games during college - well, for the most part. And for some of these folks, it was less about getting drunk than getting other people drunk, which was an interesting insight into these people and why I stopped associating with some of them.

Do I play these games now? Well, let's be honest here - if I buy a six-pack of anything today, odds are, the last bottle will see me into Halloween, shandys notwithstanding. I have friends who play beer pong when they get together, but I don't play these days. And even then - should I decide to play - it's less about getting drunk than to be affable and have a good time.

I think the point is: How many drunk people are classy and stylish? Sure, you could be classy and stylish when you're not drunk, but that's hardly the point. I'm not trying to bash you or anything, if you find that drinking games provide you with healthy social interaction then go ahead and do it. I've just found it to be a bit neurotic.

I'm 20, and play drinking games with the guys and with females I'm not interested in. Otherwise, I try to maintain class, what little I have.

this is a fratastic drinking game that should really only be played in situations where you would also play beer pong/beruit.

You Got Served:
Fill a table with as many solo cups of beer as possible, with a group of at least 5 circled around. Two people, on opposite sides of the table, each start with an empty cup and a ping pong ball. On go, they try and bounce the ball into the cup (pretty easy, same as quarters). If you make it your first try, you may pass the cup and ball to anyone you choose -- if you make it on any subsequent try, you must pass it directly clockwise. Whenever you make your ball in the cup, and the person directly clockwise from you hasn't made theirs yet, you may "serve them -- that is, slap their empty cup (possibly with ball), off the table. You then pass your cup and ball to the next person to their left, and they must grab a cup from the middle, drink it, and use that cup to proceed with the game. You proceed until all the cups are gone.

Strategy is obvious, if you make your cup on the first try, pass it to person directly to the right of whoever else is trying to make a shot so that they might get served.

Enjoy.

I find its sad we live in a society where drinking games actually slow down many people's alcohol consumption! I do agree being drunk is far from classy but drinking games like all alcohol consumption should be done with personal moderation. Im not pretending I haven't or don't get drunk once in a while and agree I am often an idiot but I know my limits and try to not condone other people for their actions if it only inflicting things upon themselves. I of course take no offence at what you said though and understand your viewpoint fully, I just respect your approach much more than the previous one I got from whoever that was.

heres a cool twist i played a lot during other games

The game starts by picking the person who will be the first Master Of The Thumb. While sitting around the table having a good time, the Master Of The Thumb can, at any time he chooses, non-chalantly place her thumb on the edge of the table. After he has started this, anyone who notices must follow example. The last person to place his/her thumb on the table loses and has to drink, but they do become the new Master Of The Thumb. If anyone places their thumb on the table without the real Master Of The Thumb starting it, they have to drink.
