Yuketen Footwear - Page 141

Does Yuketen's Johnny boot run true to size? I usually wear a US size 11E in most Allen Edmonds and Alden boots. I tried on Johnny in 10.5E and it is a little snug but doesn't hurt in any part of the leg . Wonder if I should go for size 11E. Thanks.

Is it safe to assume Maine Guide shoe fits the same as the Maine Guide boots?

Specifically these Yuketen for Inventory Maine guide shoes

I own 4 different pairs of Yuketens. All of them are made in USA models and fits true to size. At least don't size down, it won't work.

Can't speak to Stream Moc specifically, but in general Yuketen's lasts are considered narrower than other companies. That is, their D-last is narrower than, say, a Bass or Allen Edmonds. Further, if we're talking moccasin specifically, if it's Horween Chromexcel leather than I would contend you will want to size down a half size, as Chromexcel provides considerable stretch. That is, of course, depending on your foot size. You may find sizing down untenable if your feet are considerably wide.

I should add that from my experience it would appear that C-last Yuketens are sold in the European markets (Australia and England in my case) as 'E'. Presumably, then, a D-width would be 'F' if purchased abroad. Don't get this confused with a US-market 'E' width, though.

That sounds weird. Red Wing 8D is too narrow for me but Yuketen 8E fits me perfectly. I have angler mocs and boots in a size 8E and johnson boots in a size 8D from Yuketen. Yuketen 8D is wider than Red Wing 8D.

I have also tried Vibergs and a lot of other brands. In my experience Yuketens aren't narrow at all.

All relative.

Weird, I found Yuketens I've gotten from US stocklists to fit smaller than European stocklists in the same size and model. Definitely comparable to my E width Aldens or EG when from a European store

I don't believe there's a difference between US and European stockist. It wouldn't make sense, right? There might be some difference between made in Mexico and made in Usa models though. I tried made in Mexico country rangers and they did fit a bit smaller than made in Usa angler mocs.

You're correct that the different factories, together with the lasts used by those factories, determine the fit. The observation I was making, which has been noted by at least one other person on this forum, was that Yuketen labeled shoes sold in the European market using the UK sizing standard, E being C, F being D, etc. However, while I can attest to the first statement above, re factories and lasts, I cannot fully attest to this second statement, other than based on my own personal experience as a shopper.

Does anyone know if the Maine Guide 6 Eye Boots in the golden brown Flesh out leather will stretch quite a bit?

They're very tight right now. Width will be ok, but length seems to be not enough.

With these one should go true to size, it seems.

Maine Guide boots and shoes are TTS. They will not stretch enough in the way you are looking for.
