so im confused, did you get the sole replaced a 2nd time?

Took sole to get replaced. The Japanese man at the counter that I spoke to when dropping them off was Yukes fan. I told him what I needed. Said no problem. I pick them up and I am lookin at the sole like wow these are way thick and see two midsoles. Wasn't really sure why they didnt replace the old midsole with a new one.

The shoe ended up with two mid soles and the new sole. I was kinda pissed. Went to get my money back this morning. Japanese man is like I dont know why they did this. Speaks to the guy in back, says he will fix it for free and if I am still not happy will refund me. So I left them. Either way after having the convo I had with Ryan, if these come out correct or not I am buying another pair.

Got two pairs. Ebay ones fine was going to replace but they aren't really in "need" of them. First pair is totaled. Guess walking 7-9 miles a day would do that to a pair of boots over a span of time.

Rough but not that bad really. they are a waxed pair so they need to be stripped, cleaned and rewaxed. I am going to take on that project when I get some free time and take some pics while doing so if I ever get my camera in the next century.

I'll update over the next year. I haven't gotten any wear in mine. I bought them and then the nice weather kicked in in Los Angeles.

Hello all, new member but have been reading this thread for months.

Anyhow, just got back from the Barney's Warehouse Sale at the LA convention Center. They had sz 9E Angler Mocs on a Crepe Sole for $139, sz 9 Sport Chukkas in Khaki for $139 and sz 12 Peanut Suede Chukkas for $89 if anyone is interested.

I was about to cop the angler mocs but they were too clunky. I much prefer the ranger mocs. and besides they looked like my brown pebble Quoddy Maliseets I was wearing but an inch and half higher.
