I usually take a D width but got the angler moc and a chuck in E width and they fit fine for me,

I like heavy shoes, being able to cope with weather is important for me (Canadian). They've inspired my new lust for a heavy-duty pair of winter oxfords. They definitely aren't perfect, but I like them plenty.

Should have maybe kept them then :/.

Yes, I found them very heavy too. But what really got me selling them was probably that the sole was so hard, it wouldn't even bend as I walked so it felt like walking in wooden clogs.
The weather issue is important for me aswell (Scandinavian). I bought a pair of Oakstreet Bootmakers vibram sole camp boots instead, they've been soft and comfortable since day one.
Was your shoes as hard as I described mine, but then softened up to become comfortable? I might be getting a pair again in the future, they're up there with the best looking shoes I've seen i think.

Cheers

Mine broke in good after about 10 wears or sold. Ended up selling to buy more MC footwear though kinda regret it now

I know the shoes started off stiff enough to blister each of my ankles... haha maybe the pain made me not notice the hardness of the sole. The sole is known for being cushioned & I think the Maine Guide style is built to break in comfortably. If you like the style I'd say give them another shot, and use them as your house slippers first, give them some break-in time. I can say with confidence they are my most comfortable shoes, and I've got a few smile.gif

Haha! Well, it does ofcourse make sense that they would break in after some wear. I probably didn't give them enough time. Yes it would probably be a good idea to use them indoors first!
Wow, that's a good rating that. Yeah I love the design. One of the best I've seen. What color do you have? I had the red ones, the color bled on my socks and pants, but I didn't really care about that. wink.gif

Cheers, good looking out. Will this also be true of your spring/summer buy of Yuks?

One other question about Woodlands — I understand that sale items are all final sale, but is it possible to exchange for another size given that that other size is also still in stock?

Shouldn't be too big of a problem, just please email the guys at the shop to clarify.

Also, our spring buy of Camp Mocs is going to arrive in D width and all future deliveries will be the same.

Hey man, just ordered the same pair and was wondering how they fit. I'm a 9-9.5 for Sperry, and a 10 for sneakers, but the only available size was 8.5.

Think it'll work out? And how are the shoes in general?

How would the Maine Guide boot work as an all-terrain 3 season boot?

Contact Meg Co directly. They have some stock on hand from old seasons... or contact me and I can help coordinate a purchase. (Please only serious inquiries)

Not well. I dont think you would want to wear them during the summer.... also, the Christy Vibram is pretty poor for traction. You might have to be more specific about the use!
