Thanks will give them all a call a day before my arrival in NYC (Hopefully they have it). Any advice on how to take care of the boots? Any spray recommended to spray on the boots before wear?

i use the quoddy waterproofer. it is really a huge pain in the ass to use though. most yuketen's are ready to wear and require very little care unless you wear everyday in wet conditions, in which case there are better alternatives so you should be good to go. especially if you get a maine guide.

Saw some maine guides in the wild today, which is rare around here. Looked like brown chromexcel with vibram soles. They looked amazing.

Um, California's a big place. Not too many dudes running around in Yuketen boots in Neveda City, which is where I saw these.

fuck dude there are less then 5k people in nc. everything is rare in that hole.

not true. but if you do make a stupid comment i will call it out.

for some reason i thought he lived in sf or oakland, in which case seeing a pair of yuketens isnt a "rare" occurrence. but the dude is in an area of no more than 5,000 people, which does in fact make sense.

so, what did we learn from this little exercise?

1. going from rare to "everyday" is not a logical step.
2. yuketens can now be seen in Nevada City
3. proper context is everything.
4. stop assuming shit.

any decent shoe cobbler will do ... if you dont have one contact yuketen and they can make some recommendations based on your area.

ln-cc always gets interesting styles (at least the last two years). they have some of the best buyers in retail.
