e46 M3 - Which Colour?

Okay - so I think I will be pulling the trigger on that E46 this summer (subject to me selling my current car and shoring up the right car at the right price). I need to decide which colour to pick (all look so damn good). These are the options (I'm using generic colours instead of actual factory colour names ie red instead of imola red).

Red

White

Black(Pictured borrowed from fellow SF member )

Grey

Blue

I'm leaning towards the red right now - I know its a little loud but this car will only be used on evenings weekends so I don't mind a little splash of colour.

Thoughts?

Imola Red is a great color in person. However, when you say black, do you mean Jet Black or Carbon Black? There's a huge difference since mine is Carbon Black, and it's actually a very dark purple in bright light, like carbon paper. In dimmer lighting or artificial parking lot lighting, it's black. It's like getting 2 colors in one.

Nah, go big or go home. P.S. I personally think the silver grey looks the best on the M3. I drove a red BMW before. It gets attention like nobody's business. After a while, the stares (including from the cops and every other rice racerboy on the block) get a little old.

Yah...I`d prefer to avoid that...so I guess red is out...

Hmm...this is hard.

If I were you, I'd get the car with the lowest miles, in the best shape, with the best service history, and at the best price. To me, color is only important when these other requirements are met. Unless, of course, you just cannot stand to drive the car in question because of its color.

The second grey looks great. I don't like BMW's lighter or darker shades of grey. I like the darker blue (Monaco) better than the lighter ( Montego). If I were in the south I would opt for white exterior.

I am getting a new BMW this summer but the interior color is more important to me. Looking for beige or the darker brown with the mid grey or dark blue exterior. I really dislike the light grey and black interior colors.

I have a bright red E46 328Ci. It barely gets any attention. The M3's Imola Red is more subdued, like a dark red.

I saw an e46 the other day in blue with an oversized UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN decal on the back and a GO BLUE! license plate frame. Needless to say, that incident has forever ruined the appeal of the color.
