Bluefly has 25% off all outerwear today. Saw some fine 100% cashmere overcoats from Ferre and Harrison at $449 down from $1,500. Lots of Marc of NY and other great stuff.

mano, anyone else, what can you tell me about Harrison cashmere? It'd make a nice Christmas present.

Then add in one of the 20% coupons floating around and REALLY save some money. NP

I like men's clothes; generally I don't wear them. I am looking for a gift and wondered if any of the guys on the forum had any background on Harrison. Thx.

Harrison's is awesome cashmere. But it is also very expensive, among the most expensive there is (if not THE most). Unlike a lot of spongy, loosely woven cashmere that feels soft but can't hold it's shape, Harrision's (woven in Scotland) feels a little rougher, but will hold up over the long haul.

It occurs to me that we may be talking about two different things. I meant Harrison the Scottish weaver and cloth merchant. So far as I know, they only sell cloth, not finished garments. Are you asking about a company called Harrisons that makes RTW overcoats?

This topic comes up from time to time. Do a search for "Harrison" and you will find some opinions, though I didn't see much about the overcoats. The consensus seems to be that the sweaters use good fabric, but are oddly sized. I doubt this is the same Harrison as the "Millionaires' Cashmere".

Hmmm. I doubt that is made by George Harrison (no relation) of Scotland, but I could be wrong. I don't have any experience with the product, so I could not say.

j Yes, I see the story now. Harrison on Bluefly is considered low-grade cashmere. Thx. Now I gotta start looking around for something else...

I am virtually certain that Harrison, Kashmere, and All Gloves are bluefly house brands. Googling them yields to vendors other than bluefly, and they always stock all sizes of their products ...
