one question everyone ... I'm looking to purchase the Washburn and I am presented with 3 options where I can buy it online :
  1. One Cedar Lane (owned by Rochester Shoe Tree Co)
  2. Cedarville Store
  3. Shoe Tree Market Place
Do they all stock identical product (down to the brand labeling on the shoe tree) ? Aside from comparison of price (well actually their pricing are all pretty similar), which online store should I be buying the Washburn from ? Since the Washburn is manufactured by Rochester, should I be buying it from Rochester (one cedar lane) ? Please share your experiences or any advice, thanks!

I ordered a pair of washburn and ultra, both in size medium, to test on a pair of AE Westwood in 9d (which I believe to be the 0 last). The washburn does a better job of filling the shoe, including near the toe. Both fit equally well with regard to width, but the washburn is taller and does a better job of stretching out wrinkles. I do think the ultra does a better job of filling the entire height of the heel, but I am less concerned with that area of the shoe.

Can anyone give me any insight between differences between Cedarville's washburn, epic and ultra models? I need about ten pairs, I am a size 11D.

First post here--in a thread about shoe trees of all things. Found it with google. I was trying to decide between Allen Edmonds and Brooks Brothers trees before thinking to check if the SFers had any opinion on the matter. Thanks to mg428 for starting the thread, which post-for-post is probably more of a contribution than the other fellow has ever given.

So now my question: the Ultras seem to have an awfully sharp heel in comparison to the others. Does a sharpish heel have any damage potential at all? Between the Washburn, Epic, and Ultra I'm gravitating towards the Epic for the blunt heel and adjustable toe.

FYI bump, onecedarlane.com (rochester) is selling the washburn for 25% off ($26.21 each) and free shipping over $75/order. Cheapest I've seen so just ordered 5 for myself.

Hello all!

Short time reader, first time poster. I am just starting to get into higher end shoes/clothing. I am currently stationed in Afghanistan and am looking at buying a pair of the shoes below. Since I don't have the experience with shoe trees or the ability to go to a store and check the fitment myself, I was hoping for a little help. I'm open to any shoe tree but have been looking at the ones from Cedarville mostly. My question is, what tree would be the best fit for these style shoes? Thanks in advance and sorry for bringing up an old post but I couldn't find a clear answer by searching.

Update: Just ordered these (Santoni "Prichard") in black size 10.5 D. I would still like some suggestions for shoe trees if possible. Thank you.

Justin - I'm in similar spot as you and actually recently bought the Prada shoes you were looking at. I'm leaning towards the Epic myself for these.

I ended up going with the Cedarville Ultra's and they seem to fit really well!
