Photoshop CS5. No other program I've used is as advanced, intuitive, useful, and fun. It's just incredible.

Yeah. The more I use it, the more I appreciate how refined all the tools are. Things like the magnetic lasso, the text alignment snaps, the layer interface, etc. The only thing I wish they added was a ghost box on the transform tool.

This sounds like abracadabra to me. But then I have (as of yet) not paid for my version of PS and am therefore loath to use it. Realising this I just removed it. I heard there is adequate (free) software for beginners like me. I'll look into that.

OT:

Windows 7
Firefox
Lightroom 3
iTunes, system hog that it may be
VLC
Malwarebytes
Microsoft Security Essentials
PDF creator
Gmail notifier
utorrent

How so?

In my experience, Chrome is way faster. It also looks better, and the home page is handy, plus all the possible extensions/applications. I used Firefox for years and years but Chrome really blew it out of the water.

Anyway,

Chrome
ProTools
OpenOffice

Actually, for me on my Linux desktop, firefox 4 is now faster than chrome. I used various javascript benchmarks to test.

Another reason I preferred FF to Chrome, even with FF3.6.x which was much slower, was the extension support, namely noscript. Chrome's design simply doesn't allow devs out there to create such great extensions as firefox has.

On, and firebug!
