Evening Gents,

Can anyobne tell me the differences in the gloverall & Partridge?

I'm interested in outdoor; WARMTH, Rain & Wind Resistance & (in this case) don't give a damn about; style, cut, fit drape, etc. "Form follows function" - FLW

Any advice appreciated.

I've had a Gloveral for something like 15 years now, and it has acquitted itself pretty well in central European and North American winters. It's not the most wind resistant coat -- the front is after all only closed by four toggles, so a nasty draught will get through -- and I haven't really tried wearing it in a downpour. But it's warm. A bit unwieldy, too, of course, since the material is so thick.

I have had my Gloverall for about three four years now. Anyway, they've started offering the 'clasic' Duffelcoats with a hidden zipper to eliminate the wind problem. Very nice coat, boxy but great looking.
